    یا کریم و یا غفّار و رحیم و عظیم و سَریعُ الرّضا
    ya kareem o ya ghaffaar o raheem o ‘azeem o sari‘ ur-raza
    O Most Generous One, O Greatly Forgiving One, O Most Merciful One,
    O Most Mighty One, O You Whose Favour is quickly achieved

    اس پہ ہی راضی رہوں جو کیا تو نے مجھ کو عطا
    us pih hi raazi rahoon jo kiya tu ne mujh ko ‘ata
    May I always remain pleased with what You have granted me

    یا کریم و یا غفّار و رحیم و عظیم و سَریعُ الرّضا
    ya kareem o ya ghaffaar o raheem o ‘azeem o sari‘ ur-raza
    O Most Generous One, O Greatly Forgiving One, O Most Merciful One,
    O Most Mighty One, O You Whose Favour is quickly achieved

    اس پہ ہی راضی رہوں جو کیا تو نے مجھ کو عطا
    us pih hi raazi rahoon jo kiya tu ne mujh ko ‘ata
    May I always remain pleased with what You have granted me

    یہ جو نَدامت کی مالا ہے میرے گلے میں پڑی
    yih jo nadaamat ki maala hai mere gale men paṛi
    This rosary of repentance that lies around my neck

    تسبیح اِس کو بنا دے الٰہی
    tasbeeh is ko bana de ilaahi

    اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّی أَسْأَلُکَ بِرَحْمَتِکَ
    allaahumma inni as’aluka birahmatika
    O God, I ask You by Your Divine Mercy

    یا ذوالجلال
    ya z’ul-jalaal
    O Majestic One

    اپنے کئے پہ جھکائے ہوں سر، دل میں رنج و ملال
    apne kiye pih jhukaaye hoon sar, dil men ranj o malaal
    My head is bowed in regret and shame at my actions, and my heart is grief-stricken

    تو جو سنے نہ سناؤں گا کس کو یہ فریاد میں
    tu jo sune nah sunaaoon ga kis ko yih faryaad main
    If You don’t hear my plea, who else would I appeal to?

    تو ہی سمیعُ البَصیرُ المُجیب
    tu hi sami‘ ul-baseer ul-mujeeb
    You are the all-Hearing and all-Seeing Answerer of Prayers

    ربِّ اذانِ بلالی بھی تو
    rabb-i azaan-i bilaali bhi tu
    You are the Lord of Bilal’s call to prayer

    اَرحَم بھی تو اور جلالی بھی تو
    arham bhi tu aur jalaali bhi tu
    You are compassionate and You are also formidable

    کُن فَیَکون کا بھی خالق ہے تو
    kun fayakun ka bhi khaaliq hai tu
    And You are the one who commands the universe to ‘Be’, and it is

    تو ربِّ مصطفیٰ
    tu rabb-i mustafa
    You are the Lord of Muhammad Mustafa

    اللّهُ اکبر
    Allaahu Akbar

    تو ربِّ مرتضیٰ
    tu rabb-i murtaza
    You are the Lord of Ali Murtaza

    نوح کی کشتی کو دیکھتا ہوں
    nooh ki kashti ko dekhta hoon
    I see the Ark of Noah

    حوضِ ندامت میں ڈوبا ہوا ہوں
    hauz-i nadaamat men ḍooba hua hoon
    I drown in the sea of repentance

    یا رحیم
    ya raheem
    O Merciful One

    کر دے تو مجھ کو قربت عطا
    kar de tu mujh ko qurbat ‘ata
    Please grant me closeness to Yourself

    یا کریم
    ya kareem
    O Generous One

    درگذر کر دے میری خطا
    dar-guzar kar de meri khata
    Please disregard my misdeed

    یا رحیم
    ya raheem
    O Merciful One

    رحمت کا تیری طلب گار ہوں
    rahmat ka teri talab-gaar hoon
    I am a seeker of Your Divine Mercy

    یا کریم
    ya kareem
    O Generous One

    بندہ میں تیرا گناہ گار ہوں
    bandah main tera gunaah-gaar hoon
    I am Your flawed and sinful slave

    دریائے آتش میں ہم بس یونہی جل جائیں گے
    darya-i aatish men ham bas yoonhi jal jaaen ge
    We are fated to burn in the river of fire

    گر تو سہارا بنے یا رب سنبھل جائیں گے
    gar tu sahaara bane ya rabb sambhal jaaen ge
    But if you become our support, we can be saved

    تو ہی تو وہ روشنی ہے کہ جس سے میں غافل ہوا
    tu hi to wuh raushani hai kih jis se main ghaafil huwa
    You are the light that I became blind to

    جانے انجانے گناہوں سے کچھ بھی نہ حاصل ہوا
    jaane anjaane gunaahon se kuchh bhi nah haasil huwa
    By committing witting and unwitting sins, I gained nothing

    ہو تیری نظرِ کرم تو یہ مشکل بھی ٹل جائے گی
    ho teri nazr-i karam to yih mushkil bhi ṭal jaaye gi
    If You cast Your merciful gaze towards me, this difficulty too shall pass

    تو ہی لطیف الخبیر الحلیم
    tu hi lateef ul-khabeer ul-haleem
    You are the Benevolent, the Knower of Unspoken Prayers, the Clement

    ربِّ دیوارِ ذوالقرنین تو

    ربِّ معراجِ کونین تو
    rabb-i mai‘raaj-i kaunain tu
    You are the Lord of the Prophet’s night journey

    ربِّ اسماعیل و زمزم بھی تو
    rabb-i ismaa‘eel o zam-zam bhi tu
    You are the Lord of Ishmael and of Hagar’s well

    تو ربِّ ابراہیم
    tu rabb-i ibraaheem
    You are the Lord of Abraham

    اللّهُ اکبر
    Allaahu Akbar
    God is Great

    تو ربِّ جبرائیل
    tu rabb-i jibraaeel
    You are the Lord of Gabriel

    اللّهُ اکبر
    Allaahu Akbar
    God is Great

    ربِّ ملائیکہ
    rabb-i malaaika
    The Lord of the angels

    تو ربِّ کوثر
    tu rabb-i kausar

    اپنے غلاموں کی دے غلامی
    apne ghulaamon ki de ghulaami
    Make us the humble servants of your true slaves

    یا متکبّر، یا مُغنی، یا مُغنی
    ya mutakabbir ya mughni ya mughni
    O Supremely Great One, O Fulfiller of Needs

    روزِ حشر کا اندازہ نہیں
    roz-i hashr ka andaazah naheen
    I haven’t the capacity to picture the Day of Resurrection

    بخشش کا سامان لایا نہیں
    bakhshish ka saamaan laaya naheen
    My deeds are not the kind to win Your favour and mercy

    ہے میری التجا، کر دے قربت عطا
    hai meri iltija, kar de qurbat ‘ata
    I plea that You grant me closeness to Yourself

    کردے رحم و کرم، مسکین ہے تیرے در پہ کھڑا
    karde rahm o karam, miskeen hai tere dar pih khaṛa
    Have mercy on this miserable beggar standing at Your door

    میرے ارادے جو ٹوٹے تو مجھ کو پتا یہ چلا
    mere iraade jo ṭooṭe to mujh ko pata yih chala
    When all my grand schemes fell apart, I came to the realization

    تیری حُکومت میں ہوگا وَہی بس جو تو نے کہا
    teri hukoomat men hoga wahi bas jo tu ne kaha
    That You alone determine what happens in Your kingdom

    اپنے حبیب کے صدقے سن لے میری یہ دعا
    apne habeeb ke sadqe sun le meri yih du‘a
    For the sake of Your beloved Muhammad, please hear this humble prayer of mine

    تو ہی مقیطُ الحسیبُ الجلیل
    tu hi muqeet ul-haseeb ul-jaleel
    You are the Nourisher, the Reckoner, the Resplendent

    ربِّ ضربِ حیدر و حمزہ بھی تو

    ربِّ عصائے موسیٰ بھی تو
    rabb-i ‘asa-i moosa bhi tu
    You are the Lord of Moses’ staff

    تو رو بہ رو بھی اور ہے کو بہ کو
    tu ru-ba-ru bhi aur hai ku-ba-ku
    You are present wherever we may turn

    تو ربِّ عیسیٰ
    tu rabb-i ‘eesa
    You are the Lord of Jesus
