But if you become our support, we can be saved

You are the light that I became blind to
جانے انجانے گناہوں سے کچھ بھی نہ حاصل ہوا
jaane anjaane gunaahon se kuchh bhi nah haasil huwa
By committing witting and unwitting sins, I gained nothing
ہو تیری نظرِ کرم تو یہ مشکل بھی ٹل جائے گی
ho teri nazr-i karam to yih mushkil bhi ṭal jaaye gi
If You cast Your merciful gaze towards me, this difficulty too shall pass

My deeds are not the kind to win Your favour and mercy
ہے میری التجا، کر دے قربت عطا
hai meri iltija, kar de qurbat ‘ata
I plea that You grant me closeness to Yourself
کردے رحم و کرم، مسکین ہے تیرے در پہ کھڑا
karde rahm o karam, miskeen hai tere dar pih khaṛa
Have mercy on this miserable beggar standing at Your door
میرے ارادے جو ٹوٹے تو مجھ کو پتا یہ چلا
mere iraade jo ṭooṭe to mujh ko pata yih chala
When all my grand schemes fell apart, I came to the realization
تیری حُکومت میں ہوگا وَہی بس جو تو نے کہا
teri hukoomat men hoga wahi bas jo tu ne kaha
That You alone determine what happens in Your kingdom
اپنے حبیب کے صدقے سن لے میری یہ دعا
apne habeeb ke sadqe sun le meri yih du‘a
