Hassan Jahangir and Gul PanrraKnocking on the doors of nostalgia, the popular Pakistani-pop track is back. With the power-pop luminary Hassan Jahangir and Gul Panrra’s melodic precision, ‘Hawa Hawa’ is an experimental delight.
An age-old folk tune, Hassan Jahangir was first introduced to it by his grandmother which later inspired the groovy version that populated the 80’s South-Asian music scene.
The percussion-driven Balochi Lewa beat adds to this melody a ceaseless rush of endorphins. With the charismatic on-stage presence, sing-along composition and the alternative groove, Hawa Hawa gets the tribute it deserves.
