Ghulam Abbas was born in Lahore to a father who was also a musician. He is greatly inspired by Umar Daraz, a fellow musician who is also a part of the Coke Studio platform. Ghulam Abbas received his early training from Umar Daraz and Javed Iqbal, about whom he commented ” It was an immense pleasure to work with both of the people I received my training from. I am also appreciative of the support provided by Javed Iqbal on bringing me to this platform” Abbas said. Ghulam appreciates fusion music and also loves western compositions being a cello player. It is the second time the artist is participating on the Coke Studio platform.

Ghulam Abbas envisions Coke Studio as a platform for him to showcase his talents. About the expectation of viewers Ghulam Abbas was confident that they will like the show and commented, “There has been a lot of hard work done in the whole process and the viewers would love it.” Ghulam Abbas believes that Coke Studio has given a new life to the skills of the participating musicians and he is proud to be associated with the platform.
