    You have been at pains to earn the reputation of a pious worshipper

    میں دا بت دلوں نہ کڈّھیا
    (لیکن میں کا بت دل سے نہیں نکالا)
    main da but dilon nah kaḍḍhiya
    But you have failed to remove the idol of ‘I’ from your heart

    توں میں والی کھیڈ ای کوئی نئیں
    (یہاں میں اور تو کا کوئی کھیل ہی نہیں ہے)
    toon main waali kheḍ ee koyi naeen
    Where everything is ‘He’, there can be no possibility of ‘I’

    شہ رگ وسدا سولی چڑھدا
    (وہ ہماری شہ رگ میں بستا ہے اور وہی ہے جو منصور کے بھیس میں سولی چڑھتا ہے)
