Title: Ṭiri Pawanda – ٽِڙِي پوندا – Will Blossom

Language: Sindhi

Lyrics: Shaikh Ayaz, and others

bhalo thyaee bhala pireen

My good sweetheart, may good come to you

hiyen na munaasib hoe

This is not befitting

chito laaye charyo kare

Captivating me, driving me insane in love

paana kaḍhi waen poe

You then removed yourself from my world

toṛe huba na hoe

Even where no love is felt

toṛe huba na hoe

Even where no love is felt

ta ba hota na kajan hetaryoon

Such hardheartedness is not shown, my beloved

ṭiṛi pawanda ṭaareeyen jaḍahen ġaaṛha gulla, alo myaan

When crimson flowers will blossom on tree branches

taḍahen milandaaseen

bo giyam jaa gure phuk

I sowed a seed of wheat

dughunime meniko ele

But the harvest ripened on someone else’s lands

But the harvest ripened on someone else’s lands

laṭháaq numan ayakal

The tree-branch swayed towards me

shalime meniko ele

But the fruit fell down in someone else’s home

main phool hoon tere siwa khushbu ke bina

Without you, I am a flower without perfume

kya dil kare dhaṛke bina lahu ke bina

What can the heart do without beating?

do kinaare aapas men mil rahe

Two shores of a river are meeting

door rah ke bhi tera hi dil rahe

Even away from you, my heart belongs to you

do kinaare aapas men mil rahe

Two shores of a river are meeting

door rah ke bhi tera hi dil rahe

Even away from you, my heart belongs to you

gham tera sahte sahte bahte bahte nainaan mere

Grieving for you, my eyes shed endless tears

tujh ko hi apna kahte rahte bahte nainaan mere

You’re the only one my weeping eyes seek
