Hassan “Moyo” Mohyeddin hails from a family of artists and was exposed to music and the arts from a young age. As a teenager, inspired by the drumming chops of John Bonham, Moyo expressed a desire to play the drums but was, instead, guided towards the tabla by his mother. A classically-trained tabla player, multi-percussionist, and music producer, Moyo is a protégé of Ustad Lachhman Singh Seen and has collaborated with acclaimed artists like Ustad Mubarak Ali Khan, Nahid Siddiqui, Malang Party, and Overload. Multi-faceted Moyo has also composed music for a variety of stage productions such as Tara Arts’ Macbeth, Macbeth, and Bollywood Cinderella.

Moyo’s understanding and knowledge of traditional music, and how it can be accentuated with the tabla, HAPI drum, and crystal bowl, makes him a promising addition to Coke Studio’s house band.
