    Umair Jaswal

Umair Jaswal’s band, Qayaas, was discovered by Coke Studio in 2012 and was included as part of its line-up for season 5. Given Jaswal’s immense potential, he scored his first Coke Studio solo in Season 6 with the song ‘Khayal’. In season 8 of Coke Studio, Jaswal’s song Sammi Meri Waar in collaboration with Quratulain Baloch became so popular that it has currently garnered over 40 million views on Coke Studio’s official channel. Of the 13 seasons, Jaswal has appeared in 8,  making him one of the most featured artists on the show.

In 2013, Umair was nominated as Pakistan’s youth ambassador by the International Human Rights Commission. Having made his Lollywood debut in a war epic called Yalghaar and his television debut by appearing in the serial Mor Mahal, playing the lead role of a nawab alongside Meesha Shafi, Jaswal has proven time and again of his artistic prowess.

On a journey towards self-actualization, Jaswal returns to CS2020 with a renewed sense of enlightenment – this time he is set to hit notes far deeper within the heart. His desire for something new and exciting has always led him on new endeavors. This year he is back on Coke Studio and will be singing a powerful dhamaal rock track.

“I am a very curious person; someone who wants to explore a lot of things and know a lot of things. Every day, I look for something new and exciting, be it music or anything else.” - Umair Jaswal
