The release of their debut album ‘Suno Ke Main Hun Jawan’ in 2003, branded Noori as one of the pop-rock legends that revived the second wave of new-age modern music produced by the brother-duo, Ali Noor and Ali Hamza. The album sales of the first record flew out of the roof and the band performed over two hundred concerts within the first two years of its release. With the release of the second album, ‘Peeli Patti Aur Raja Jani Ki Gol Dunya’ (2005) – the band continued performing and cultivating a fan base comprising the youth of the nation. The band re-emerged on Coke Studio in 2010 and spun off mega singles such as ‘Aik Alif’, ‘Saari Raat Jaga’, and ‘Hor Vi Neevan’ bringing them back into the radar of the music scene.
After a hiatus of ten years, their eagerly anticipated third album, ‘Begum Gul Bakaoli Sarfarosh’ released to critical acclaim in 2015. This year, in Coke Studio, Season 9, the band returns as one of the music directors as well as featured artists with a staple of their signature sound whilst keeping the sound relevant and fresh.
